About Reach Security:
Reach Security (https://reach.security) builds self-driving cybersecurity. Reach employs the first generative AI for cybersecurity to oversee an organization's current security stack, aiming to achieve the best possible security posture with the products already in use.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure and automation systems critical to our cybersecurity platform. This position is essential for ensuring efficient software delivery, infrastructure reliability, system observability, and proactive operational excellence. You'll handle challenges such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), test automation, containerization, observability, release automation, and workflow orchestration. Your contributions will directly impact our product’s scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious problem solver with deep expertise in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. You should be comfortable navigating complex infrastructure setups, prioritizing high-quality automation, and collaborating effectively across teams. As an early team member, you’ll help shape our DevOps practices, infrastructure strategies, and operational processes from the ground up.
In this role, you will:
Leverage modern Python to develop tooling and infrastructure to support a rapidly growing SaaS product.
Develop, optimize, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for multi-AZ production environments.
Implement and enhance test automation strategies.
Streamline and optimize build and deployment tools to enable rapid code iteration.
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated release tracking, versioning, and unified deployment management.
Establish robust observability practices including log aggregation, OpenTelemetry integration, monitoring, and proactive alerting.
Manage container infrastructure including container registries, automated vulnerability scanning, and dependency updates.
Build and maintain infrastructure for workflow orchestration frameworks.
Research, prototype, and deploy infrastructure for advanced analytics and machine learning systems.
Design and operate scalable analytic querying infrastructure.
Building scalable, cloud-native modeling infrastructure.
Success in this role requires:
5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK.
Proficiency in Python and experience automating workflows, deployments, and operational tasks.
Expertise with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong experience with observability tools and methodologies, including log aggregation, monitoring, OpenTelemetry, and alerting.
Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with cloud infrastructure providers (AWS preferred).
Solid understanding of DevOps best practices, system design, and architecture.
Exceptional troubleshooting, debugging, and operational support skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly and effectively.
US Citizenship or Green Card holder.
Ways to stand out:
Experience with large-scale workflow orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, AWS Step Functions).
Experience deploying and managing big data systems (Apache Spark, Iceberg, Trino).
Proven track record in migrating complex data and infrastructure systems.
Experience in cybersecurity-focused infrastructure or platform engineering.
Work arrangement:
Competitive salary and equity.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
Remote work flexibility.
