Every security tool built in the last decade solves the right problem in the wrong place. Vaults, scanners, identity providers all work, and then they all do the same thing: hand your credentials to a runtime environment in plaintext, where anything running alongside your application can read them. The industry called this an acceptable tradeoff. We called it the flaw the whole stack is built around. We built Cordon because that tradeoff is no longer acceptable in a world run by AI agents. An autonomous system doesn't get phished, doesn't get tired, and doesn't need to break through your firewall. It just needs to ask, because the credential is already sitting there, readable and waiting. Cordon eliminates the handoff entirely, intercepting requests at the network layer and injecting credentials in transit, so a secret travels from vault to destination without ever existing as a readable value in memory. That's not a better tool. That's a different architecture, one built for the world we're actually in.
