Aembit Account Executive - NYC

Company Background-

About us- Aembit is a well-funded cybersecurity startup founded in late 2021. The company’s founders have a strong track record, having started several companies that were successfully acquired. We are focused on a new area in the hot identity management space with a recent focus on securing Agentic AI for customers.

Account Executive (AE)

This AE role will be responsible for all revenue generating activities in their assigned territory.

Selling- The AE owns all of the sales functions from the first meeting presentations, deal qualification, proposal generation and forecasting. While this role is supported by BDRs who will help schedule meetings and generate pipeline, we view these vital tasks as part of the AE role as well.

Joint selling with Solution Architects. AEs will receive support selling from SAs who can lead demos and who will guide the Eval/POC process with prospects. We have a 1:1 ratio of SAs to AEs.

Key Accountabilities For AE Role

Reports To: EVP of Sales- Mike Trites

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): What we will measure.

  • Revenue/Bookings per quarter against assigned quota
  • Data entry to CRM
  • Forecast accuracy

Tasks involved in support of territory management-

  • Territory development which includes lead nurturing, trade show attendance, marketing automation for outreach to prospects and pipeline generation
  • Qualifying and Disqualifying leads
  • Cold calling in support of outbound marketing efforts, email campaigns and targeted prospecting of companies that match Aembit ’s Ideal Customer Profile
  • CRM usage- Utilize HubSpot for digital marketing automation and recording call notes, tracking tasks and moving opportunities into the sales funnel.
  • Follow-up on inbound leads, trade shows, form fills and online inquiries
  • Active study of the Aembit technical solution
  • Review of industry trends, competitive threats and market data

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales quota
  • 5+ years of SaaS sales experience
  • 3 years of CyberSecurity experience
  • Remote work experience
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Naturally curious to learn and grow as a professional
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good teamwork skills to support peer sellers and to work collaboratively with other Aembit team members.
  • Personally motivated, goal-oriented focus.
  • Self-disciplined and persistent
  • Competitive

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive base salary: Salary range $175,000K with OTE of $350,000
  • Variable income includes uncapped commissions
